The airport is holding an open house this Saturday Dec 10 (10AM – 2PM) designed to inform the public about the airport.  This open house is a prelude to phase 2 of the city’s airport visioning process which will consist of a number of small public discussion groups during the first few months of next year.  There continues to be significant controversy regarding the city’s approach to the visioning process (see SMO in the news posting immediately below).  Going to the open house is not required in order to participate in the visioning process.  We strongly recommend that anyone interested in the future of the airport sign up here for one of these city discussion groups.  If you have not already done so, please also complete our independent CASMAT visioning survey under the “Survey” tab above.
